With a career spanning private practices in Melbourne and Adelaide, Dr. Kataria has also served as a senior lecturer and clinical tutor at the University of Adelaide and the University of Melbourne.

Dr. Kataria earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. She received the Dental Board of South Australia prize and the Australian Society of Periodontology prize for achieving the highest standards in her examinations. Additionally, she was awarded membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society, recognizing her as one of the top 15% of university students.

In 2005, Dr. Kataria dedicated her time to the University of Adelaide as a senior lecturer and undergraduate stream coordinator for Periodontics. She completed her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics from the University of Adelaide in 2009 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Periodontics).
